sake event vol 11.

Well come, this is my 11th sake event. 

It was held at Bincho restaurant. 

Bincho has two restaurant in London and they providing traditional with modern twist of Japanese charcoal grilled Yakitori. They are delicious and I truly like their food. 

And they have good sake list too!!

さて、11回目の日本酒の会となりました。

今回は、Binchoさんでお世話になりました。

Binchoは、今ではロンドンに2件店を構える、モダンな炭火の焼き鳥屋さんです。

お料理は勿論、お酒も充実していて、お薦めです。

Tonight's theme was "health benefit of drinking sake".

I've talked about what is the benefit of sake, why sake is good for us. It was like a little seminar and I enjoyed it very much.

今夜のテーマは、日本酒と美容の秘訣。

ちょっとしたセミナー感覚でしたが、なぜ日本酒が私達の身体に良いのか、と言う事をお話しさせて頂きました。

とても楽しかったです。

We had 20 guests attended tonight, and it was biggest group I've ever manage to have. 

And honer to welcome Mr Nakashima from Nakashima brewery, Ms Ito from Dewatsuru brewery/ Dressing A and Mr Yoshida from Tedorigawa brewery were sitting just in front of me, which makes me little nerves. 

今日は今までで最高の、20人の参加者をお迎えし、光栄な事に中島酒造の中島さん、出羽鶴/Dressing Aの伊藤さん、そして手取川酒造の吉田君も加わってのにぎやかな会でした。

ちょっと緊張しましたが。

I've been reserched about this theme for very long time. 

I had support from many sake producers, and I'd like to take a opportunity to thank to them.

今回のテーマは、長期にわたりリサーチしていました。

このリサーチにあたり、いろいろな蔵の方からお力添えを頂きました事、この場を借りて御礼を申し上げます。

After I've talked about secrerts of health of sake, and little sampling... etc, we moved to blind tasting. 

そして、健康や美容の秘訣を話し、ちょっとした実験をした後はブラインドテイスティングに移りました。

We had 4 different sake tonight.

今夜のセレクションは４種類。

小左衛門　特別純米

小左衛門 おりがらみ

南部美人　純米吟醸

手取川　山廃純米

Mr Nakashima and Mr Yoshida were really trying hard to guess what they are. Rest of us are also trying hard too, but they were under the pressure if they can not recognize their own sake...????

When I open the blind folded, I think we were the loudest group in the restaurant. (sorry Zac...)

It was fun part. 

And no dout, Mr Yoshida and Mr Nakashima guess their own sake. (of course!)

特に、中島さんと吉田君はプレッシャーの元、慎重にテイスティングしていました。

勿論私達も真剣でしたが、お二人は、もしご自分のお酒を当てられなかったら…、そんな緊張感が一杯でした。

そして全員が試飲し終わった後は答え合わせ。

多分、店内で一番盛り上がり、大騒ぎしていたテーブルだったと思います。（ごめんね、Zac。）

そして気になる中島さん、吉田君の答えは…。もちろんお二人とも大正解でした。

I had good time with everybody to talk about their life, new project, job, and sake tonight. 

今日は、久しぶりに会う参加者もいたりで仕事の事や、新しいプロジェクトの事、そして今夜の日本酒の事等一人一人と話が弾み、とても充実した夜でした。
