No restaurants were added to three stars restaurant, but two chefs were given 2 stars in this year. Hélène Darroze at The Connaught in London and Nathan Outlaw, at Rock in Cornwall.
Delek Bulmer, editor of the guide who works in this industry for 33 years says food in British restaurants had improved immensely since he started. In 1974, the first Michelin star guide were published in Britain, there were only 25 stars in total.

今年のイギリスとアイルランド全土の総合ミシュラン星数は143で、その数は今までで最高の新記録となりました。
残念ながら、今年は新たに最高峰でもある3つ星組に加わったレストランはありませんでしたが、The ConnaughtのシェフHélène Darroze、そしてシェフNathan Outlawが率いるRock in Cornwallの2店が2つ星へ加わりました。
この業界歴33年というベテランのDelek Bulmerは、イギリスのレストランの質は確実に向上していると述べています。1974年に初めて出版されたミシュランガイドには、総合ミシュラン星数は25だったと言います。
